Take TD-N128E 128 channels NVR as an example. Customer already added 96 IPCs, when adding the 97th IPC, it will popup prompt: Exceeded the max. Bandwidth allowed, like below:
Also we can find that there is no remain bandwidth in "Function Panel->Edit Camera->Add Camera->Quickly Add", like below:
But in "Settings->Network->Network Status", it shows NVR have remained bandwidth, like below:
- Analysis In N9000 "Function Panel->Record->Mode Settings", there are two record modes: Manual and Auto:
Customer can set different "Max Bitrate" under Manual or Auto record mode, in TD-N128E, for event recording, we can set different "Max Bitrate" as below:
If we set too high “Max Bitrate” under Manual record mode, as the number of IPCs increases in NVR, there will be no remained bandwidth soon(See above Picture, remain bandwidth is 0). Even you don't use this Manual record mode but only use Auto record mode, the remain bandwidth in "Function Panel->Edit Camera->Add Camera->Quickly Add" is still 0. Designing like this is because: It is not certain whether the customer will enable the Auto record mode or the Manual record mode; we take the minimum of the remaining bandwidth of the two modes to calculate whether NVR can add more channels (IPCs). And in Encode Parameters configuration interface, it is also not sure whether the customer is currently recording in Event Recording or in Schedule Recording, we take the minimum of the remaining bandwidth of the two Recording Settings to calculate whether NVR can add more channels (IPCs).
- Solution
- Under Manual Record Mode, check whether there have "Remain Bandwidth" in Event Recording Settings or Schedule Recording Settings, if "Remain Bandwidth" is 0, then try to reduce the "Max Bitrate";
- Check the same settings under Auto Record Mode, if the “Max Bitrate“ is too high, try to reduce it;
