# How to verify if a new card or key fob is compatible for a card reader(ADC-EG4-ASI1201E-D)

Step 1: You need to make sure your card is Dahua IC/IP card, it is impossible to use other company's IC/IP cards on a Dahua Reader.

Step2: You can only use IC card on a IC card reader and IP card on a IP card reader.They can't be used in mixture.
