# How to Upgrade Cameras and NVRs from Firmware Version 8.24 to the Cloud Version

If your NVR or camera **(model included in the compatibility list)** is currently running firmware version 8.24 and you would like to upgrade to the Cloud version, please follow the preparation steps below :

1. Schedule an appointment with our engineers via our support website: [https://ametasupport.com/v2](https://ametasupport.com/v2)
2. Prepare the following device informationin advance:
  - Serial Number (SN)
  - Username
  - Password
3. Ensure that your NVR or Camera is connected to the internet and the network status showing connected.
  - You can verify this by remotely logging in through the mobile app or PC VMS and confirming that the Live View is accessible.
