      How to factory reset Intercoms

      AiBase Smart Building intercom devices support factory reset setting. This feature is mainly used in situations such as resetting forgotten passwords, cleaning the cache after updating a new firmware and repair of a malfunctioning device. AiBase Smart Building intercom can be reset by hardware, device screen, device webpage or other tools depending on different scenarios.

      Operation Instruction

      Models supporting hardware reset : VDP-AK-916XS.

      Models supporting device screen reset:

      Doorphones: VDP-AK-28RA, VDP-AK-29RC, VDP-AK-916XS.

      Indoor monitors: VDP-AK-313CW.

      Modesl supporting device webpage reset: All models.

      Devices can also be reset from SmartPlus Cloud if the device has connected with Cloud. And the priority level is Cloud > Local device side.

      Operation Procedure

      Reset from Device Screen

      • For VDP-AK-29RC, VDP-AK-916XS Android door phones with touchscreen
      1. Tap Dial, type in 9999 and then 3888 to enter the Setting page.
      2. Tap Restore and then tap Confirm.

      • For VDP-AK-28RA Linux door phones without touchscreen
      1. Press *2396# to enter the system setting page.
      2. Press UP or Down key to choose System Setting.
      3. Choose Restore Default, and enter the administrator code (default is 2396) or swipe the admin card ( only when you has added an adminitrator card before) to restore the device to factory settings.

      For Indoor monitors

      1. Tab** More>Settings>Advance**, and type in password (by default is 123456) to enter advanced settings interface;

      2. Tab Restore/Reset&Reboot and then Confirm to reset the device to factory settings.

      Reset on SmartPlus Cloud platform

      1. Login to distributor or installer portal.
      2. Go to Device>Setting, and click Once Autop.
      3. Type Config.Autoprovision.RESET_FACTORY.Enable =1 in the box, and click Submit.

      Reset by PC Manager (V 1.1.0.6)

      For Indoor Monitors:

      1. Run PCmanager.exe, and enter the username and password, which are “admin” by default;
      2. Select Upgrade>Basic>RESET_FACTORY Enable option and click Submit;

      1. Make sure the device(s) and PC are in the same network segment. And the tool will search devices automatically.
      2. Select the device(s) needed to be restored to factory settings, click Select Path to save system logs, and then click Submit to factory reset the device(s).

      For Doorphones:

      1. Run PCmanager.exe, and enter the username and password, which are “admin” by default;

      2. Constantly click PC Manager icon in the upper left corner for 10 times, and type username and password in the popping-up developer login page, which are also "admin" by default.

      3. Select Door>Upgrade>Basic option, click Group Setting, click New Group on the followed pop-up, type the action name "factory settings" (or whatever name you like) and Save the configuration. This new group will be added into the selecting menu on the left.

      1. Select the new added factory settings, click New Configuration, and type "factory settings" (or whatever you like) in Display Name, and Config.Autoprovision.RESET_FACTORY.Enable in Command. Click add icon under the Option box, and confogure the Value and Option, for example, set Option to be disabled, the responding Value 0, and Option to be enabled, the respongding Value 1. Save the configuration.

      Then you will see the configuation is added successfully.

      1. Close the above page. Select Upgrade>Basic>factory settings option, seclet Command Value to be enabled, tickle the box next to the name, and click Submit.

      1. Make sure the device(s) and PC are in the same network segment. And the tool will search devices automatically.

      2. Select the device(s) needed to be restored to factory settings, click Select Path to save system logs, and then click Submit to factory reset the device(s).

      Reset by Hardware

      1. Find the Reset button/hole on the back cover.

      2. For the device with the physical button, long press it for about 5s to restrore the device to default settings;

      OR for the device with the reset hole, poke the hole with a needle for about 5 seconds. See the picture below.

      Reset on Device Web Page

      Login the web page. The default username and password are "admin".
      Go to Upgrade-Basic page, find Reset to Factory Setting, and click Submit to restore the device.
