      How to Add Cards on the Door Phones

      Note:
      Cards added on the device and on the SmartPlus cloud are with equal priority. However, cards added on the device will be cleared when you reset the device to the factory setting, while cards added on the SmartPlus cloud will still be retained and valid.

      Operation Procedure

      -Touch Screen Door Phones
      Add Cards on VDP-AK-29RC / VDP-AK-916XS

      a. Add Cards on the Device Web Interface.

          1. Log in to the web interface, and navigate to Intercom > Card Setting > Card Status.
          2. Change the card status to "Card Issuing", and click Apply.
          3. Put the RF card on the card reader area on the device, and wait till the card code appears in the IC Key Code field before clicking Obtain, then Add.
          4. Change the card status back to "Normal".

      b. Add Cards on the Device
          1. On the device setting screen, press RFCards icon.
          2. Put the card on the card reader area, and press Add Card, then press Save.

    • Add Cards on VDP-AK-28RA

      a. Add cards (Admin/Normal) on the web interface.
        1. on the web interface, navigate to Intercom > Card Setting.
        2. select a normal card if you want to add a card for the resident and an Admin card if you want to add an administrator card.
        3. following the process as you do for adding on VDP-AK-29RC.

      **Note**
      You can add "Normal card" for residents and "Admin Card" for the administrator. Only when the " Admin" card is added, can you add cards for the residents on the device.

      Tips
      VDP-AK-28RA allows you to add Admin card directly on the device.

      a. Add cards (Admin/Normal) on the device.

        On the VDP-AK-28RA, you can add both Admin Card and Normal card.


        1. Press *2396#" to enter the device system, and press"2" to enter the admin setting.
        2. Press "1" and place the card on the card read area when you see " Please Swipe Admin Card" on the scene.
        3. Swip the admin card, and place an RF card on the card reader to add cards for the residents.

        Tips

        You can only add Admin cards directly on VDP-AK-28RA door phones.
