This article explains how an installer can add residents to a community. Before adding residents, apartments must be created.

Add Family master for an Apartment

1. Log into the Akuvox Cloud Platform with your installer account. Click 'Sites' from the sidebar on the left, and then click  of the site you want to configure.

2. Skip this step and proceed to step 4 if all the apartments have already been created. Otherwise, click the 'New' button to create an apartment, enter the apartment’s information, and then click the 'Add Resident' button at the bottom of the window.

3. Enter the resident's information and click the 'Submit' button.

4. Add a resident to an existing apartment. Click  of the apartment which you want to add a resident.

5. In the apartment page, click  to edit the apartment.

6. Scroll down the page in the pop-up window and click 'Add Resident' at the bottom.

7. Enter the resident's information and click the 'Submit' button.

8. The first resident added to the apartment will be the Family Master and will be linked to the apartment’s license. Deleting the Family Master here will cause the license to fail and require a new purchase.

Update the Family Master's Information for an Apartment

Two Ways to Update the Family Master's Information.

1. Using the Reset Button
Click the Reset button to clear all resident information for the apartment, including the Family Master and family members. This process does not affect the license bound to the Family Master, as the system will automatically create a virtual Family Master. If needed, follow Step 2 to add a new Family Master.

2. Edit via the Edit Apartment Page

In the apartment page, click to edit the apartment. Enter the updated Family Master's details and click the Submit button to save your changes.

Add Family members for the Family master

1. Click the 'New' button to add family members for the apartment.

2. You can add up to 3 free family members for each Family Master. Additional family members will incur a charge. Contact your Ameta sales representative to activate it if necessary.
