      Note
      To activate the deterrence function (both siren and warning light), you need to set up some events that can trigger the deterrence function first, such as AI events and motion event. PDVD function is Enabled by default and the detection area is full screen. This article will show how to activate the deterrence feature for the PDVD AI function as an example.


      On the Local Monitor

      1. Click on Main Menu icon in the bottom left corner and click on Setup button.

      2. Select Deterrence in the Alarm section.

      3. You can Enable or Disable the Light/Warning Light here and adjust the duration for them. Click on the Apply button to save settings.

      Note
      If the camera's Image Control is set to Full Color or Smart Illumination, the light for the deterrence function will be disabled.

      4. Click the gear icon under Schedule column for  'Warning Light' to set up the deterrence function for different events. Click on the Save button to save settings.

      5. Select Siren in the Alarm section.

      6. Choose the Channel you want to set up, and modify the parameters as needed. Click on the Schedule button to set up the siren schedule.

      7. Setup Siren schedule for different AI functions, Click on the SAVE button after the modification.


      8. Click the 'Apply' button to save any modifications on this page.

      On the NVR's Web Page

      1. Click on Remote Settings, then select Deterrence in the Alarm section. Choose the Channel you want to set up, and modify the parameters as needed.
      Note
      If the camera's Image Control is set to Full Color or Smart Illumination, the light for the deterrence function will be disabled.

      2. Click on the Warning Light Schedule button to set up the warning light schedule .

      3. Click on Remote Settings, then select Siren in the Alarm section. Choose the Channel you want to set up, and modify the parameters as needed.
