      Door Station User Configuration

      Article Summary

      You can add multiple users by batch at once, or just add a single user. In this procedure, you can set up the user's ID and name, customize door access methods and relays he/she can unlock. The user added can then open the door easily in the preset way(s).

      Operation Instruction

      • Make sure your computer and the device are in the same network if you'd like to add users to the device web portal.
      • For door phones with touchscreens (VDP-AK-29RC, VDP-AK-916XS), you can add users to the devices.

      Operation Procedure

      In the door phone web portal

      1. Go to Intercom > User (such as VDP-AK-29RC).

      2. Click on Add button in the upper right corner, and set up the User ID, Name, access settings and door access methods such as PIN, RF card and Face recognition based on your needs.

      3. If there are other users to be added, instead of adding them one by one, you can scroll down the User page to Import/Export User field, and import a .tgz file containing users' data to add them by batch at once.

      4. Tap Submit to validate the configuration.

      Tip:

      When adding users by batch, you can firstly click on Export to export a .tgz file and use it as a template.

      On the devices

      (for VDP-AK-29RC, VDP-AK-916XS)

      1. Access the device Setting page.

      2. Tap User, tap** Add**, and set up the User ID, Name and access settings and door access methods such as PIN, RF card and Face based on your needs.

      3. Tap Save.

      Note:
      • Figure1 and Figure2 correspond to the procedure in the web portal.

      • Figure3 to Figure5 correspond to the procedure on the device (for VDP-AK-29RC and VDP-AK-916XS).
